OUR Mission
changing lives for the better
Our mission is to enhance access to quality healthcare for individuals living in the Delta region of Nigeria by supporting medical infrastructure, providing essential resources, and fostering sustainable health solutions that improve overall well-being and save lives.

OUR HISTORY
The Peter Claver foundation was established as a Registered Charity in the U.K. (Charity Number 1201365) in 2022.
Moved by the growing divide in healthcare between Nigeria’s affluent and underserved regions, we felt compelled to act — using our skills and resources from the global north to help bridge this concerning inequality.

Strengthening Local Healthcare, Together
OUR APPROACH
Through our collaboration with Ufor hospital, Ughelli, the Peter Claver Foundation provides reliable medical equipment, medical training, and outreach services to the local community. Working hand in hand with an established hospital in this way means the Peter Claver Foundation can provide immediate impact, develop existing healthcare staff skills, and create sustainable change.

OUR SUCCESS STORY
Since its inception in 2022, The Peter Claver Foundation has worked closely with Ufor Hospital to not only improve infrastructure and equipment but to empower the healthcare team through specialised training. In 2024, the Foundation sponsored a day Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program, training medical personnel, including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists.
Nurse Ejiro, who had never previously received formal trauma training, shared:
“Before the ATLS course, I was nervous during emergency cases. Now I know how to act fast and with confidence — I’ve already helped save a road traffic victim who was in shock.”
